Shoe Dog: A Memoir by the Creator of Nike (English Edition) Reviews
Amazing book from amazing man. You won't think about Nike the same after you read this book, Phil Knight explains what a journey was the creation of Nike. In this book it all from founding of Blue Ribbon until Nike going public. The writing style is great and it is easy book to read. Phil Knight is telling all the highs and lows he and his team had during creation of Nike. In same time is history of Nike creation and personal memoir of Phil Knight.Bonus is that are some parts that will make you laugh. Phil Knight has a good sense of humor.
One of the best memoirs I've read in many years. His way of reminiscing those initial days of Blue Ribbon (what later became the Legendary 'Nike'), His mateship with the core employees, dealing with Japs, meeting the woman of his life are truly exceptional. I highly recommend this book to all the entrepreneurs and scholars out there.PS: Phil's one liners are witty and ultra fine.
If you like biographies of popular entrepreneur you'll love Shoe Dog. The story of Phil Knight and NIKE emotional, fun and full of first hand anecdotes. Always a great insight into ones life. I really enjoyed reading this book.
I had zero expectations and I was blown away. Knight teaches incredibly inspiring lessons on camaraderie, perseverance, and having the guts to succeed - in life and in business. As he wishes to relive the whole thing again, I want to reread the whole thing again. 100% recommended to people in their 20's trying to find their own calling.
Really easy and inspiring book to read! Great for anyone who loves the sports (and/or retail) industry!Knight's story from sourcing his first pair of shoes to building the Nike empire is written in an extremely engaging manner; it's credible, critical and at the same time very entertaining and fun!
